Hello to all of God's angels!! What a great time we had at AFM's 2 year anniversary celebration at our home this past Saturday. Good food, good times and AMAZING ANGELS were present at the party. Though many angels were unable to attend they were not far from our thoughts and prayers, they all were missed! What a great time to reflect how awesome our God is and how he has brought all of us together for a greater purpose...to serve him. I love hearing stories from the volunteers about encounters with the participants and how they are touched by all that the volunteers do for them. We only come in contact with them for about 15 minutes every month but what an impact God's angels make on them! God is touching every single being that comes to Angel Food...volunteers and participants alike....WOW! The past two years have been full of love, laughs, tears and amazing fellowship that grows every month among God's angels...what an honor it is to be a part of something so great! I can't wait to see what this next year will bring for the angels among us....

June '09 Drop Zone

Another great Drop Zone for June! Wilma & Jesse announced that they were stepping aside as leaders for Angel Food in order to start another ministry for single moms! We are so happy that Mable & Dennis - Deb & Mike - Gale & Wanda & Joan have step up in different areas of Angel Food leadership to make it possible for Angel Food to continue at NewPointe!

The fresh fruit & veggie box a favorite item
170 F&V boxes unloaded this month!

God held off the storms!

Jay working hard!

Beautiful sunrise

We have been blessed with this trailer! It was donated to Angel Food here at NPCC to store and transport all the equipment needed at Drop Zone! Sweet!

Interesting umbrella stand!
Angel Food has the best volunteers, hands down! So proud of all the Angels!

Angels in the Water!

Sunday we had six of our fellow Angels baptized during the morning services! We want Gale, Jason , Deb, Wanda, Leigh Ann and Shane to know you all challenged and inspired us. It was incredible to hear all of your testimonies and witness God's transforming power in your lives! What an amazing day - here are their pictures and video's ;

May Drop Zone

Here are some stats from the May Angel Food Distribution Day.
We had 13 other churches or organizations come and pick up for Drop Zone.
We unloaded 496 regular units.
We also unloaded 458 specials and #2 & #3 boxes.
For a grand total of 954!
I believe it took about 1 hour and 15 min to unload the semi.
It is truly amazing the lives God touches through Angel Food. Even the truck driver who delivers the food to NPCC! Nothing is incidental in God's kingdom, God can use even the small things to change the direction of a person's life!
Here are some pictures of the May Drop Zone -

The truck is finally empty.

The heart and soul of Angel Food @ NPCC!

As we get into the summer months we all get busy with vacations, reunions, and other summer projects and events. All those things are great and we need to take time to get away and recharge. But that makes getting enough volunteers to help out on AFM Saturdays alittle interesting at times! God always provides exactly what and who we need to get the job done! But that also makes us think about those people whom we haven't seen at AFM for awhile, maybe we could contact them this week and let them know we've missed them and encourage them to sign up to volunteer again for the summer! We can always add members into our unique family! It is truly a pleasure to see all of you work together for God's glory!

Congratulations!

We want to send out a very special "Congratulations" to Jimmy and Jaimee! The happy couple got married on Friday evening! Jimmy has helped with Angel Food Drop Zone and Distribution for a couple of months now, and it's been a pleasure getting to know him. So, from all of us at AAU, we want to wish Jimmy and Jaimee many blessings as you start this new adventure together!

Dave!

Our very own Dave was baptized at NewPointe on Sunday, April 26th! Dave, thanks for being a great example of being obedient to Christ! We're proud of you! Loved the surprise of Wilma baptizing him, very appropriate. Here's some pics -

April Drop Zone

April Drop Zone went very well over all. We all loved the balmy temperatures (that would be anything above freezing!) We also received very exciting news that from now on our trucks would be coming from the Georgia warehouse instead of Texas! The trucks from Georgia are much better loaded and actually have all of our food that was ordered! We were able to unload the truck in an hour and 15 min. Shaving off a few minutes of last months time! Props to the guys on the truck! Awesome job!

And halfway through unloading the truck, Wilma notices a special message written inside of the trailer -

She claims someone took the time to write her last name, weight and height! We all let her believe her little fantasy for a little while till we told her the truth. That this was a Mast Trucking trailer and that was the trailer number & length. Those numbers had nothing to do with her!

We had 12 other churches or organizations come and pick up their orders.

We also got to enjoy beautiful views of the sky as we finished unloading.

We also want to thank Wilma, Jesse and Joy for making sausage & biscuits & eggs for us for breakfast!

We would also encourage those of you that have never experienced Drop Zone, to sign up at least once just to have the experience! It is so worth it! And if you don't enjoy your experience than this picture could explain why! We love ya, Dave!

Thanks again to all who helped out this month! Your dedication is inspiring!
